What We Believe

At Antioch Wesleyan Church, our mission is simple: Love God. Love People. Reach the World. We Love God by following Jesus and making Him the center of our everyday lives. We Love People by building genuine relationships, serving others, and walking alongside one another as we grow in faith. And we Reach the World by sharing the good news of Jesus and helping others become His disciples, beginning in our community and wherever God sends us.

GOD

We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, loving, all-powerful, and the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is sufficient to establish what we believe and how we live. Scripture is our final authority for faith and conduct.

2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 119:105; 2 Peter 1:20–21

JESUS CHRIST

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, the Son of God who came to save us. Through His death and resurrection, forgiveness and eternal life are available to everyone who puts their faith in Him.

John 1:1–14; John 3:16; Romans 5:8;
1 Corinthians 15:3–4

SIN & SALVATION

We believe all people have sinned and need the saving grace of God. Salvation is God's gift, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, not something we can earn through our own goodness or works.

Romans 3:23–24; Ephesians 2:8–9; Mark 1:15;
Romans 10:9–13

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit gives new life to those who trust in Christ and empowers believers to live holy lives. As we surrender to Him, He transforms our character and enables us to live faithfully for Jesus.

John 3:5–8; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22–25; Ephesians 5:18

THE CHURCH

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, make disciples, love one another, and share the good news of Jesus with the world through our words and actions.

Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 4:11–16;
1 Peter 2:9
